Fresh lobster, lobster rolls filled with one-and-a-half lbs. of lobster, near-perfect New England clam chowder, steaks that rival renowned urban steakhouses, salads with fresh greens, and a friendly, casual atmosphere will have us coming back many times. The Tan Turtle Tavern seems almost too good to be true: they seem to do everything right, including having a waitstaff with friendly personalities, offering good value for the money with huge portions of food, and comfortable surroundings, including a bar and quiet indoor porch-like back room. They even make their own potato chips! We couldn't ask for anything more when dining on a vacation than the total package offered at the Tan Turtle Tavern.
