The New England Quilt Museum features more than 300 antique and modern quilts and tops, plus many related textile and sewing items, representing the history of American quilt making.
The Quilt Museum has been in business since 1987 and has a truly appropriate location, given that Lowell once perhaps the most prominent location for the textile industry in the United States. Located in the Greek revival-style former Lowell Institute for Savings Building from 1845, this is indeed a delightful, educational and entertaining New England travel destination.
