If you love seafood, please mark on your calendar the Bowen’s Wharf 21st Annual Seafood Festival at Bowen’s Wharf in Newport, R.I., scheduled for Oct. 15 and 16 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
This waterfront event features local restaurants and fisherman’s associations serving up plenty of great seafood — including lobster dinners, clam chowder, stuffed quahogs, clam cakes, shrimp, scallops, raw oysters and clams, according to the Bowen’s Wharf Web Site. Adult beverages and soft drinks are available, as well as many kinds of desserts. Here, you’ll also experience some great live music and other entertainment. Admission to the event is free; you purchase food and beverages at the vendor booths.
