A Halloween event for dogs? Call it a “Night of Terrier!”

Marci Tyldesley, of Cape Public Relations, tells us that  the Animal Rescue League will hold its “Doggone Howl-o-ween Party” on Sat., Oct. 29, from 2-5 p.m. on the patio at Laurino’s Restaurant in Brewster, Mass. Laurino’s is, by the way, a long-time favorite Cape Cod restaurant with some excellent food and a very inviting, casual atmosphere.

First, second and third place prizes will be awarded to the dogs with the best costumes (only safe, non-constricting costumes, please!).  If your dog isn’t one to dress up in costumes, he can arrive in his customary outfit and still get  free treats!).

There will be also be complimentary appetizers for the humans.  Dogs will also enjoy the cash bar featuring a few specialty “puptails” and  some special activities.  Admission is a $10 donation to The Animal Rescue League of Boston’s Cape Cod branch, located near Laurino’s. All well socialized, vaccinated dogs are welcome!

Laurino’s is located  on Route 6A in Brewster at 3668 Main St.  For more info, call (508) 896-6135 or log onto
