Many areas of New England aren’t feeling so hot due to the high temperatures.

One sure-fire way to beat the New England heat is by visiting your local shopping mall. We’ve got quite a few in New England and unless the mall air conditioning is on the brink, these type of shopping destinations usually exhibit exemplary cooling systems. Our favorite mall is Providence Place in Providence, R.I. — three stories of intown shopping bliss — but any mall will do. Remember, when the heat gets tough, the tough go shopping! Just don’t overspend, though, as that breaks the sacred rules of the Thrifty New England Traveler!

Log onto our indoor shopping mall section for a comprehensive list of shopping malls that we have been to, and like, in New England. If you know of any other indoor shopping malls, please drop us a line!
