A great way to get into the New England holiday spirit is by taking a day trip or vacation to Country Christmas in Bethel, Maine. This special Christmas event takes place through Dec. 24, 2012.


Bethel is a “It’s a Wonderful Life” ┬ákind of town with a friendly, idyllic small town vibe, as well as splendid mountain scenery. What a great New England setting for a Christmas event!

Country Christmas in Bethel features a Jingle Bell Run, a tree lighting ceremony at the Bethel Common (Dec. 1) free horse-drawn wagon rides, museum and gallery open houses, craft fairs, shopping specials and fun outdoor activities for kids.

Additionally, if you’re a ski fan, Bethel might just be your place as Sunday River is located just down the road from downtown Bethel!
