Christmas Tree Farms in Maine

The Maine Office of Tourism — VisitMaine.com — sent us a press release on open-to-the-public Christmas tree farms across Maine.  As you’ll read below, it’s not only about buying a Christmas tree but also traditions to get you in the holiday spirit…

More than 50 family tree farms in Maine offer choose-and-cut balsam, fraser or Douglas-fir trees, as well as pre-cut trees and handmade wreaths, garland, kissing balls or center pieces. Take a wagon ride to the field of trees, and enjoy free hot apple cider or hot chocolate, cookies and candy canes. According to the Maine Office of Tourism, most farms charge one price for a tree of any size, from five to 15 feet. For specifics on what each farm has to offer, you can search for tree farms throughout Maine at the Maine Christmas Tree Association, or call (207)793-4658.
