Maine Maple Sunday, March 27
The Office of Maine Tourism just tipped us on the Maine Maple Sunday event on March 27, 2011. The event features Maine sugar houses throughout the state that are open to the public. Although Vermont and New Hampshire get a lot of press on producing lots of maple syrup, Maine does quite well itself. Somerset County, Maine, in fact, produces more maple syrup than any other country in America, according to the Office of Maine Tourism!
