New England trips and travel information Our New England Travel Google Plus Page
We encourage you to follow our VisitingNewEngland.com New England travel Google Plus business page, as well as signing up for your own business page. We have also just started a New England restaurants Google Plus photo album that we hope sparks your appetite for great dining around New England, as well as the possibilities to share photos on Google+. Google Plus is similar to Facebook and Twitter in the sense that all three are outstanding ways to communicate through social media, I believe, however, that Google Plus has its own personality, and, in a nutshell, is a great one. For starters, the layout is clean, the travel photographs come across in a large size and really stand out, and we've already been involved with some great communications amongst our followers. We frequently post articles on New England travel from our web sites and have already received feedback along the lines of,"Your posts make me want to visit New England SO bad." Comments like that make us want to use Google +1 as much as possible, as reader feedback validates the power of social media communications and inspires and motivates my productivity and creative output at VisitingNewEngland.com. On the other side, we look forward to constructive criticism, too. Another fantastic aspect of Google+ is that you can place other businesses into your own "circles." As examples, I've set up circles like "New England Media," "New England Hotels," and "New England Restaurants." So, if I want to send press releases out to local media, I'll access that circle and blast out a press release. No other circles will receive the press release, unless otherwise specified. I mean, why would I send a press release out about New England travel to a circle like "Music?" Ultimately, circles give you control over what information you want to send out to a given party. If you are already on Google Plus, we'd greatly appreciate you adding our page to your circles. We post information on New England travel several times a week as a way to further "get the word out" on our great six-state region through social media! Quite simply, I can't stop using Google Plus as a valuable business tool. This social medium is a real "plus" and I strongly encourage you giving it a try! That's about all for now. Google+ has some other features -- and I suspect more that will be rolled out in the near future -- and I will update you as I get accustomed to these other elements. We look forward to seeing you over at this exciting new social media platform! |
