Neither wind, nor rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor dark of
night keeps Kelly's Roast Beef at Revere Beach, Mass., from delivering
delicious roast beef, seafood and sandwiches 363 days a year.
Open at lunch with its kitchen open until the wee hours of the morning,
Kelly's has not veered far away from its original business mission that
started in 1951-- that is, getting specialties like roast beef, fried
clams and lobsters rolls "done right the first time" for its incredibly
large and loyal customer base with, clearly, frequent cravings. The
result, according to Kelly's: "hundreds of thousands of batches of
lobster meat salad, cooked close to one million beef roasts, and has
fried millions of French fries, onion rings, clams and seafood!"
Rachel Ray has taken notice of Kelly's Roast Beef on her $40 a Day Food
Network television show. Kelly's has also been referenced on Saturday
Night Live, PBS television, and in the movie classic, Good Will
Hunting, starring the late Robin Williams, and locals Matt Damon and
Ben Affleck. Kelly's has also received several "Best Of" awards on a
local level amongst several media organizations.
You won't find a better fried clam plate, lobster roll or roast
beef
sandwich, anywhere. Other specialties, like fish and chips, hot dogs,
and chicken finger plates, have the same high standards.

Customers eat at the beach, on the wall
separating the sand and sidewalk, in their cars, under the beach
pavillion, or at the few metal chairs and tables right near Kelly's
order windows. In this case, having no indoor dining room works in
Kelly's favor as the views are so pleasant at "America's First Public
Beach." This oceanside roadside gem has a truly locally legendary
reputation.

And it doesn't matter what time of year people choose to visit this
local landmark, only 10 minutes north of Boston -- you'll see crowds
even in the dead of winter. Kelly's customer loyalty apparently has no
limits, clearly the sign of a restaurant that, as they say, "got it
right the first time," and never looked back.
