Calling all artists!
3rd Annual International Paint
Out on Mount Desert Island
Mount Desert Island, Maine -- The Acadia Plein Air Group
and the International Plein Air Painters invite you to join this
year's annual event either as a participating artist or as a
patron of the arts. Each year the International Plein Air
Painters hosts a worldwide event promoting plein air painting.
Artists all over the world will be out painting in their locales
on the same weekend! Plein Air Magazine, among other publications,
will feature this event in an upcoming issue and the IPAP website
will post photos.
Here on Mount Desert Island (MDI) the date is Saturday, September
10th (rain date Sunday the 11th). There is no fee to join
in but you do have to register at 207- 244-9742. Painting
will take place from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at a specific location on
MDI. A reception and ?wet paint? sale follows at 6 PM that
evening at the Acadia Workshop Center in Seawall featuring the
