Spellbound by the Bewitched Statue in Salem, Mass.

Share this New England story on

Salem, Mass., is famous for its witch culture, so it’s no surprise that there’s a Bewitched Statue there, in honor of the famous 1960s sitcom starring Elizabeth Montgomery. We recommend watching this Bewitched in Salem video to take a look at the statue and for some excellent background footage on the unveiling of this site.

The statue, located at Lappin Park at Essex and Washington Sts., was dedicated in 2005 by TV Land and features Montgomery on a broom with a framed moon crescent. You can view this unique travel attraction for free.

While the statue is an interesting attraction that will have fans of the show perhaps spellbound (like me), it’s really just the tip of the broomstick of all that there is to see and do in Salem. We recommend checking out the Official Salem Guide for this small city’s myriad attractions. For other unique sightings in New England and beyond, check out Roadside America!
