The Office of Maine Tourism tells us that the Friends of Wood Island Light offer boat trips

to the 1808 light station at Saco Bay in Biddeford Pool, Maine, well as offering tours in July and August of the keeper’s house and tower. It’s nice to know that the historic keeper’s house recently underwent upgrades with new wood siding, a cedar shingle roof, new windows and a renovated front porch to best reflect its look from 1906. For specific dates and times of boat tours to Wood Island Lighthouse, we recommend logging onto the Friends of Wood Island Light Web Site.
