The Epiphany Parish of Walpole Pumpkin Patch is an amazing sight.
Juxtaposed with a classic New England town common in downtown Walpole, Mass., the Pumpkin Patch features thousands of pumpkins for sale. Everywhere you look, it’s orange!
We enjoy buying our pumpkins here — not only for Halloween, but to support those in need. The pumpkins are consigned from a Navajo reservation in Famington, N.M., and helps more than 1,000 Native Americans employed for this project in New Mexico, as well as several local outreach programs like the Walpole Food Pantry.
The Pumpkin Patch is open daily until Halloween from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. It’s especially nice going here on Wednesdays when the Walpole Farmers Market takes place from 2-6:30 p.m. I’ve been able to find some excellent local produce at the Walpole Farmers Market, as well as raw honey, baked goods and seafood.
Also, right across the street from the Farmers Market and Pumpkin Patch is The Coffee Perch. This new coffee shop has a bright and cheery hometown vibe and offers outstanding coffee from a local roaster, breakfast sandwiches, and baked goods. I had a pumpkin muffin from here a few days ago, and it was so yummy!
Hope you get to buy a pumpkin from the Epiphany Parish of Walpole Pumpkin Patch while enjoying this beautiful little downtown, only 20 miles southwest of Boston!
The Epiphany Parish of Walpole is located on Front St. in downtown Walpole MA. For more information on the Pumpkin Patch, contact Pam Driscoll at pdriscoll18@comcast.net.
