Editor’s note: thanks to Blaine  for tipping us on our NewEnglandInfo Twitter Page about the West Boylston Cinema!

We’re not going to bore you here with “When I was your age, movies cost only…,” but the truth is that it would be nice to return to those low-cost matinee days.

The West Boylston Cinema in West Boylston, Mass., does the best it can by offering, at this writing, shows prior to 6 p.m. for $3 a ticket (all ages)!  Evening shows after 6 p.m. cost $5 a ticket for adults, and $3.50 a ticket for senior citizens and children 12 and under. First-run movies cost $7 a ticket for adults and $5 a ticket for senior citizens and children 12 and under.

Looks like they play movies that appeal to all ages! Here’s what  showing, at this writing: Unstoppable, Yogi Bear,  127 Hours, Megamind, The Tourist, Gulliver’s Travel, Little FockersHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and The Social Network.

So, it’s time for us to walk backwards 25 miles in the snow with one shoe on — just like we did back in the day — to the West Boylston Cinema, and enjoy some relatively old-fashioned prices, en route to watching a good movie!
