Sometimes, the best things in life are free — like taking this winter stroll by Lake Winnepesaukee in Meredith, N.H.

I recently experienced this magical New England winter scene when our Boston area family met halfway in Meredith with beloved relatives from Vermont. The time with them was so special and the scene above served as a memorable way to end the day in beautiful Meredith before returning home.

For the record, it wasn’t snowing! What you see here is a brilliant Google+ concept called Auto Awesome Content that adds motion to an existing photo — in this case, a pleasing snowfall.
