There’s this arrogant, totally unjustified stereotype that “Early Bird Specials” are just for the older crowd. Well, in this day of age — and no matter what age — people will take any bargain they can get. We say, “Go for the ‘Early Bird Specials!'”
As faithfuls of 204 Washington in East Walpole, Mass., we not only love the authentic neighborhood restaurant feel in this quiet Walpole neighborhood, but also those “Early Bird Specials.” For $10.95, you get a full dinner served with garden salad, potato, vegetable and coffee. Dinner selections, at this writing, include broiled scrod, fish and chips, steak tips, chicken terriyaki, chicken marsala and chicken cacciatore. I’ve had all of these meals (not at one sitting, of course!) and highly recommend… all of them! 204 just has a knack of turning out great, unpretentious dinners. Additionally, the atmosphere is just right with a cozy “local” restaurant/bar feel. Seems like everyone knows everyone here.
The “Early Bird Specials” at 204 Washington are available Monday through Thursday: 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. (entree ordered by 6:00) and Friday and Saturday: 4:30- 5:30 p.m. (entree ordered by 5:30).
So whether with spiked or blue hair, a fan of Muse or Perry Como, always take advantage of the good deal. Common sense, excellent food, and saving money are always good things!
