Such is the case with the Children&#8217;s Museum in Easton, located in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitingnewengland.com\/scenesofnewengland21.html\">historic North Easton, Mass.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Located in a modestly-sized former fire station, the Children&#8217;s Museum in Easton was formed in 1986 by Easton mothers in search of hands-on educational experiences for local children. The Museum has turned into a true success story, bringing in over 40,000 visitors yearly. The three floors are packed to the gills, featuring 100 yearly programs where kids can learn through exploration. Some great hands-on activities include climbing the fire pole, a king&#8217;s and queen&#8217;s chair, a theater stage, playhouses, a wood shop, doctor&#8217;s office, arts and crafts room, an intricate ball shoot, a fisherman&#8217;s boat, and and the outdoor &#8220;Wild Place&#8221; that features a &#8220;two-story Tree House, the secret Story Circle, the Stage, and Gazebo \u2013 site of many summertime performances.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The cost is just right at $6.00 per person, and with discounts, at this writing, if you have a Big Y, AAA, MTA or WGBH card.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Children&#8217;s Museum in Easton<br \/>\nThe Old Fire Station, 9 Sullivan Ave.<br \/>\nP.
