Some of these destinations are free while others charge a fee. It&#8217;s a nice way to see &#8220;off road&#8221; Maine through its deep snows, remote areas and hills and mountains &#8212; what a nice way to experience some peace and quiet and some glorious scenery:<\/p>\n<p><strong><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/r20.rs6.net\/tn.jsp?llr=ztdtrzbab&amp;et=1109095667843&amp;s=705&amp;e=001bfk33BISC-6CM1bsqN7yo7cbrgSx_367IZ0ejEAe0aw8a1DWjVlWN7OCyWSjVO5ISdDtA0ai4PJ-KlemZYcruR_p1QNG9NE8a5n7eug2jCbTfk5oX1hr83hgXuafcsmjNVnoW8gb3sEu7IG-XgiXAE42Tmoek-pGjsa19rysZDI=\" target=\"_blank\">Douglas Mountain Preserve<\/a><\/strong> near Sebago Lake has three trails that offer an easy round-trip walk of one to two miles to a scenic mountain top. A wide trail leads up the hill, passing three concrete batteries built into the land.
