We recently visited after 6 p.m. on a weekend and there was no parking fee. The walk was peaceful  &#8212; with fewer crowds &#8212; and the sunset spectacular. We also enjoyed the refreshing feel of the ocean, albeit only up to our knees as the water temp seemed a bit chilly. To cap off this relaxing and affordable experience, we ate at Bert&#8217;s Landing overlooking the beach. The twin lobster special for $26.95 was a bargain  (always subject to change due to market value) and the water views the stuff that makes summer vacation so special. After dining at Bert&#8217;s Landing, we traveled back to the downtown waterfront area for some delicious homemade ice cream at Peaceful Meadows.
