Just a $2.00 parking fee will get you into this fantastic state park!<\/p>\n<p>Leach Pond looks like a scene out of rural New Hampshire and features a few miles of a splendid looped path for walking or biking. Add some beautifully-preserved open fields and forested areas &#8212; and a 20-room, three-story stone mansion \u00a0once owned by artist and suffragist Blanche Ames and her husband &#8212; and you have\u00a0a wonderful free place to visit, only 35 minutes southwest of Boston! Keep in mind, too, that around mid-to-late October, the fall foliage becomes quite pleasing here, adding yet another layer of scenic beauty to an already impressive natural destination.<\/p>\n<p>For the best experience at Borderland, we recommend you first visit the Lawrence Newcomb Visitors Center at the entrance of the park for printed maps and more information. This visitor&#8217;s center also has restrooms, a water bubbler and a drink machine.
