Uncommon Art on the Common, Sat., Oct. 22 at the Walpole Town Common<\/h2>\n

Destination Downtown Walpole will be holding its third annual Uncommon Art on the Common event on Sat., Oct. 22 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. at the Town Common in downtown Walpole, Mass..<\/p>\n

Held in conjunction with the Town of Walpole, the 2022 Uncommon Art on the Common will offer a family-friendly event — open to the entire community — featuring art vendors, live music, a children’s area, food offerings and a beer and wine garden.<\/p>\n

Participants will be set-up in a farmer’s market style on the Town Common with each artist\/vendor having their own booth to display and\/or sell their work.<\/p>\n

“The first two Uncommon Art on the Common events not only brought people downtown but brought them together as a community,” said Destination Downtown Board Member, Eric Hurwitz. “The events were so much fun and a great way for artists, musicians and other creative types to showcase their talents to an enthusiastic public. It felt like the ultimate expression of a close-knit community gathering — and
\nover some great food and drink, as well. We look forward to an even more robust, diverse event this year.”<\/p>\n

Destination Downtown is a community-led organization with the mission to steer the revitalization of downtown Walpole.<\/p>\n

Pumpkin Patch at Epiphany Parish of Walpole throughout October<\/h2>\n

The Epiphany Church of Walpole, Mass., is holding its annual Pumpkin Patch daily through October 31, 2022, at 62 Front St., across from the Walpole Town Common. Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 12 noon. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

Every year, up to 3,000 pumpkins arrive in a huge truck that will have traveled to Walpole from the Navajo Indian Reservation in Farmington, N.M.! Pumpkins saturating the lawns at this quaint, historic Walpole church and its rectory (only 18 miles from Boston) is not only an amazing New England autumn sight but also a sure-fire way to pick the perfect pumpkin.<\/p>\n

The Pumpkin Patch also serves to help those in need. Three-fourths of the proceeds are returned to the Navajo Reservation to help the Native American reservation allocate much-needed funding for education, job training and basics for necessary everyday living. One-fourth of the earnings remain with the Epiphany Parish of Walpole for other outreach projects.<\/p>\n
