Back in the day when I wasn&#8217;t quite as bright, I always thought Kimball Farm was in Hollis, N.H.! It might have helped to look at the &#8220;Entering Pepperell&#8221; sign.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the state, Kimball Fruit Farm is currently offering Macs, Cortland, Galas and Honeycrisps.  We&#8217;ve always found plenty of apples to pick here and the distant mountain views and scenic farm land lend a special &#8220;You&#8217;re officially in New England&#8221; feeling.<\/p>\n<p>While Kimball Farm doesn&#8217;t have the spiffy, slick look of nearby modern-day farms, this historic farm is up-to-date in a very important category: responsible farming.
