(photo by Eric H.)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The New England Mobile Book Fair in Newton, Mass., has amazingly survived the big-box world of chain book stores &#8212; someone should write a book on this!<\/p>\n<p>Started in 1957 by the late former Harvard University-trained chemist Louis Strymish, the New England Book Mobile doesn&#8217;t look much different today than its rather homely warehouse-like origins. But then again, you can&#8217;t always judge a book by its cover.
