\nThis isn’t going to be one of those articles that goes over everything to see and do in Williamstown, Mass. Instead, this post simply encourages you to get out in the fresh air and walk the beautiful central district while the weather is still good.<\/p>\n

Home of Williams College, Williamstown makes for a wonderful walking place with its mountain views, leafy streets with old homes, stately white churches, historic college buildings and a small business district with enough restaurants and mom and pop shops to complement your walking experience. The sidewalks are good — wide and buffered from the street by grass.<\/p>\n

Start at the David and Joyce Milne Public Library and Williamstown Historical Museum at 1095 Main St., walk through serene Field Park across the street and work your way down on Route 2 east to the central business area — about a 10-minute walk.<\/p>\n

To add minutes to this ideal version of exercise, check out the attractive side streets where the feeling of the ultimate small town hometown will saturate your heart and mind every step of the way.<\/p>\n

This is the Berkshires of western Massachusetts at its best, as well as one of New England’s nicest looking towns. It’s especially beautiful in the fall with some terrific foliage around mid-October. Enjoy!<\/p>\n

Oh, and if you are really looking for more to do in Williamstown, please log onto the Williamstown Chamber of Commerce<\/a> web site. You’ll be amazed at how much there is to see and do here although, as stated, not doing anything more than walking is reason to love this small northwestern Massachusetts town!<\/p>\n
