The terrain looks good for cross country skiing and snow shoeing at nordic centers in the beautiful Mt. Washington Valley of New Hampshire, according to our friends at the Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce in North Conway, N.H. Here are some updates, as of Feb. 18, 2016…<\/p>\n

Bear Notch Ski Touring<\/a> – 18 km open. 18km skate groomed on Western Trail Network. 5″ new snow received in the past 3 days. Well behaved dogs welcomed on the trails.<\/p>\n

Bretton Woods Nordic Center<\/a> – 2 trails, 4km open. 2trails (4km) skate groomed. Base depth: 2″ – 5″. 3″ of new snow in the past 72 hours. Season snowfall: 72″.<\/p>\n

Great Glen Trails<\/a> – 45k open for snowshoeing today. Call ahead for skiing conditions. Average depth: 3″ – 7″. 6″ new snow in past 7 days. Total season snowfall: 37″. Call ahead for SnowCoach operating hours. Guided Snowshoe Tour, 1-2:15pm and Evening Snowshoe Tour on Feb 20.<\/p>\n

Jackson Ski Touring Foundation<\/a> – 17 trails (40km) open. 17 trails track-set, 17 trails skate groomed. 18 trails open for snowshoeing. Base depth: 4″ – 6″. 5″ new snowfall in the past 72 hours. Season snowfall: 21-23″.<\/p>\n

Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring<\/a> – 8km open in Whitaker Woods and Powerline. 8km skate groomed and single tracked 45km open for snowshoeing, 3km open for fat biking on fat bike trail only. Base depth: 2″ – 6″. 2.5″ new snow in the past 3 days. Don’t miss the 27 Annual MWV Chocolate Festival on Feb 28.<\/p>\n
