Free Art of Restoration \u201cSneak Peek\u201d guided tours will be offered at the Weir Farm National Historic Site “restoration in progress” project in Wilton, Conn.,\u00a0on four Sundays: Feb. 20, March 20 and April 17 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
Here, visitors to this Western Connecticut National Park Service landmark will have the rare chance to learn insiders\u2019 secrets of the recipe for a successful restoration. The tour will also focus on how the restoration will capture the true spirit and essence of the place, the people and the story of Weir Farm National Historic Site.\u00a0One of only two National Historic Sites devoted to art, the picturesque grounds, home and studio were home to three generations of American artists.<\/p>\n
While the Sunday Art of Restoration tours are free, space is limited and registration is required. To register, call (203) 834-1896, ext. 13.<\/p>\n
