In the summer, a walk along the mile-and-a-half Marginal Way walking path in Ogunquit, Maine, will reveal stunning ocean views, rocky coast and colorful plant life. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and never tire of the classic Maine coastal scenery. True, it is a tourist destination and the crowds can get a bit much during the height of summer vacation, but, to me, that never overwhelms the innate beauty of this special Southern Maine spot. As an added, bonus, quaint Perkins Cove with its wonderful galleries, boutiques, gift shops and seafood restaurants makes for a great area to stroll and with more great water views.
