The idyllic 491 acres at Rocky Woods in Medfield, Mass., features nice views from 435 ft. high Cedar Hill, scenic woods and wetlands, pleasing hayfields and five ponds. It’s also largely accessible through 6.5 miles of hiking trails, too!
If asked to choose the best spot at Rocky Woods, “All of the above” would be the best answer. If I absolutely had to choose one spot, however, Chickering Pond would place first. The 3/4 mile path around the scenic pond allows for an easy walk with plenty of relaxing views and the feeling of being many miles from civilization. This is one of the most beautiful walks in the Boston suburbs.
Enjoy this mini photo tour. Better yet, experience it yourself!
