\nThe scene here today reflects one of the more picturesque settings in the Boston area with river, walking bridge and paths and spectacular summer gardens.<\/p>\n

Many years ago, however, this historic spot became famous as a catalyst for the birth of the United States of America. “The shot hear round the world” happened here on the first day of the American Revolutionary War on April 19 in 1775.<\/p>\n

Can you guess this famous historic site?<\/p>\n

It’s the Old North Bridge in Concord, Mass.<\/p>\n

As part of Minute Man National Historical Park, the Old North Bridge, ironically, stands as a most peaceful destination today. The Concord River offers beautiful scenery and a chance for kayakers and canoers to enjoy Mother Nature. The path starting near the Bridge and ending at the Visitor’s Center eventually leads to a wonderful variety of perfectly landscaped gardens.<\/p>\n
