Led Zeppelin is famous for its song “Stairway to Heaven,” but New England outdoor enthusiasts might just like their own version better — this stairway to the ocean.<\/p>\n

Located off one of the most scenic, popular coastal walking paths in New England, this scene initially looks somewhat daunting and imposing. But then, our natural draw to the sea yields a magnetizing, mighty, magnificent and memorable experience. How many places can one witness a one-of-a-kind ocean view like this?<\/p>\n

Some hints on where this is located before we give the answer:
\nIt’s in southern New England.
\nMore specifically, Rhode Island.
\nThe walking path spans about three-and-a-half miles.
\nSome incredibly beautiful, massive homes can be seen along the way.
\nThe path is designated a National Recreation Trail located within a National Historic District.
\nA famous denominational college is located adjacent to part of the path.
\nDaffodils saturate a sector of the trail in the spring.<\/p>\n

Newport’s Cliff Walk in Newport, R.I.!<\/h2>\n

Located between Easton’s Beach and Baily’s Beach, Newport’s Cliff Walk reigns as a must-see New England attraction. The stairway to the ocean that you see in this post is located near Salve Regina University (the denominational school previously mentioned in this post) at Ochre Point. The commanding Atlantic Ocean views, mansions, beautiful Salve Regina University and Easton’s and Baily Beaches make for an unforgettable experience.<\/p>\n
