We expect autumn colors to shine most in New Hampshire and Vermont but let’s not forget that the rest of New England can be pretty spectacular, too.<\/p>\n

After all, Mother Nature never intended those autumn colors to be just relegated to two New England states. Sometimes, the best foliage can catch us by surprise in the most unlikely places.<\/p>\n

Case-in-point: Take a look at the autumn colors on this road at the former Medfield State Hospital in Medfield, Mass.<\/p>\n

Amazing, isn’t it? Many others got the memo, also, that this southwest of Boston spot typically yields impressive foliage in mid-October — lots of people walked the area to take in this version of fall in New England.<\/p>\n

We all feel badly that the pandemic has limited our travels and all the fun things that go with it. The good news is, however, that New England’s greatest treasures often await virtually right outside our own doorsteps.<\/p>\n

The foliage doesn’t geographically discriminate but rather expresses itself in brilliant colors to the most discriminating fall foliage eyes. Look around you and enjoy the moment before it transitions into another New England season!<\/p>\n
