This isn't one of those "Do this and do
that" one-size-fits-all touristy travel articles about Meredith, N.H.
Because if we did all this and that, we'd be bouncing from place to
place with little time to focus on connecting to the true beauty of
this Lakes Region town.
An autumn walk in Meredith.
If desiring to stay away from the touristy things and making the most
of a short time in Meredith, I'd suggest taking a nice walk at Hesky
Park in the town's central district. The paths, walking bridges and
well-constructed boardwalk delights with sweeping views of Lake
Winnipesaukee, park-like grounds, public docks, a boat launch and
pleasing views of the quaint downtown Meredith. It all looks like
quintessential New Hampshire within one view.

Maintained by the Meredith Buildings and Grounds Departments, Heksy
Park
is exceptionally well-taken care of -- the type of place that we all
hope to experience when on vacation or on a day trip. During the warm
weather, vibrant flowers accentuate the innate scenic beauty. Fall
time brings colorful foliage surrounding the area. Winter brings a
white blanket of snow to contrast beautifully with the lake, hills and
mountains. During the Christmas holiday season, white lights
help make this part of Meredith look like something out of a Hallmark
Christmas movie depicting idyllic small town life.

Christmas season.
Personally, we'll take the summer and fall when the chance to stay
outside longer and breathe in the fresh mountain area makes the
experience all the much better. Do this and
you'll doing that for many repeat visits to this special section of
Meredith!
Hesky Park is located on Route 3 by
Meredith Bay in Meredith, NH.
