One of the most scenic destinations in New England is at Echo Lake Beach in Franconia State Park, N.H.

Located at the base of Cannon Mountain and where the Franconia Range and Kinsman Range meet, this is simply an idyllic White Mountains setting where you can swim, boat (canoe, kayak and pedal boat rentals available), and fish.

Although you can see Cannon Mountain and Mt. Lafayette towering above the lake, it’s interesting to note that Echo Lake Beach has an elevation of 1,931 ft.  That mountain fresh air only makes the overall experience that much better!
