Glimmerglass Magic in Cooperstown, N.Y.

There’s this spot that I could gaze at all day at the corner of Lake and River Sts. in Cooperstown, N.Y.

That location resides where Otsego Lake meets the Susquehanna River — the latter of which meanders 560-plus miles to Havre de Grace, Md.

It’s called Council Rock Park. A commanding view of Otsego Lake can be seen at the top of the staircase. Birds chirp, the air feels fresh and the crystal clear waters glimmer from every perspective. That’s why it’s also called Glimmerglass Lake. The views of the lake seem virtually endless, only to be abbreviated by gentle rolling hills.

Sit on a bench, walk around the park, marvel at this incredibly beautiful scene provided by Mother Nature. It’s hard to believe Council Rock Park is only a block from lively downtown Cooperstown (home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum).

Enjoy the video and photo. Better yet, try to visit this magical location!
