An appetizing dining scene has emerged in Portsmouth, N.H., over the past several years with virtually every type of cuisine you could imagine. Regarding cheap eats, Dos Amigos Burritos, at 107 State St., is a good choice with burritos starting, at this writing, at around $5, soft tacos at $2.75, quesadillas at $5.95 and chili at $3.95. Conveniently located in the heart of charming downtown Portsmouth, Dos Amigos is one of those places that will have your belly filled as well as your wallet — a good thing, given you’ll have money left over to shop the myriad locally-owned independent shops in one of New England’s great small city downtown districts.
