An Apple Orchard a Day: Bishop’s Orchards, Guilford, Conn.

Share this New England story on

Apple picking in New England is an affordable, fun way to spend part of a vacation or day trip. The season has started and we’ll be featuring a New England apple orchard a day for the next few weeks for your apple picking enjoyment.

Today, we feature Bishop’s Orchards at 1355 Boston Post Rd in Guilford, Ct. According to its hotline, Gala and Mac apples are being picked today for a $1.05 per pound for over 20 pounds. Apple picking is taking place at Bishop’s smaller orchard on Longview Rd.  You can follow the signs from the main Bishop’s Orchards location.

We strongly recommend calling Bishop’s Orchards at 203 453-2338 before embarking on a trip there, as picking and weather conditions might change. You can also follow the Bishop’s Orchards Twitter Page for the latest updates, too. We also recommend checking out the bustling but pleasant Bishop Orchards open-year-round market that includes fruits, vegetables, meats, pies, breads, cheeses, honey, and fresh-cut flowers
