When looking to visit Boston’s best travel attractions at a deep discount, we feel that the Go Boston Card and Explorer Pass are at the “Hub”  of seeing more than 70 top local attractions, activities, tours and museums.

Here is what’s currently available for these money-saving admission cards:

Boston is a city filled with things to do, and the Go Card and Explorer Passport covers a lot of “travel and vacation” ground in this amazing city. If we were travelers from another region, this would be of our first line of choice for gaining admission to many of these wonderful travel attractions. It’s also a great way to avoid buying separate tickets to each Boston travel attraction — and “skipping the line,” especially at places like the Museum of Science and New England Aquarium.

Here is the difference between the Go Card and Explorer Passport: the Go Boston Card offers admission up to 70-plus attractions, saving you up to 55 percent with one, two, three, five and seven day passes available. The Customer Explorer Pass allows you to choose how many sights you see. You can save on two or more attractions. It’s ideal for trip planners and good for up to 30 days.

What are some of those categories of attractions? Quite a bit!  You’ll find access to zoos and aquariums, rides and adventures, day trips and excursions, museums, tours and cruises, family-friendly spots and historical and educational destinations. Farther down in the article, you’ll find a list of the specific Boston and New England travel destinations available through the Go Card and Explorer Passport.

We are Boston area natives and still plan on purchasing the Go Boston Card. As “thrifty New England travelers,” we found that last summer — in the thick of a bad economy —  we couldn’t visit many local attractions. Quite honestly, it gets so expensive. The low admission prices of yesteryear are, in many cases, are no longer in existence.  So, the Go Boston Card and Explorer Pass are really one of the only ways we’ve found that can significantly lower admission prices. You know how important that is if you have, say, a family of three, four, five, six or more. Prices really add up, don’t they?

The Boston go Card and Explorer Pass travel attractions extend way beyond Boston. That’s great news, as many other areas of New England are a short drive from Boston. So, you’ll also find popular and hidden gem travel attractions in places like Cape Cod, Salem, Mass., Newport, R.I., and Lexington-Concord, Mass.
