Anchorage Motel, Bar Harbor, Maine

Following up on the footsteps of our recent “Five Affordable Cape Cod Hotels,” we thought it would be a great idea to feature a similar article for Bar Harbor, Maine — the commercial and very pleasant gateway to Acadia National Park, Maine.

Bar Harbor offers water views, a nice town common, a tree-lined district and a great mix of shops and restaurants. But nearby Acadia National Park is the real star of the show. A truly spectacular Maine travel destination, the scenery at Acadia National Park is seemingly endless. The 27-mile Loop Road — with incredible ocean and mountain scenery — and Cadillac Mountain (1,500 ft., elevation, highest point on the U.S. Atlantic coast) are main travel attractions.

To save you some money on your Bar Harbor hotel, we have found three lodging destinations that offer good value and proximity to everything “Acadia”:

Belle Isle Motel, Bar Harbor – A family-owned and operated motel minutes away from key Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor points of interest.

Sea Breeze Motel, Bar Harbor – With a hilltop ocean view location, only a mile to the Acadia National Park entrance.

Anchorage Motel, Bar Harbor – Excellent location, in the heart of Bar Harbor. Good solid motel, clean and pleasant!
