Adventure Chatham has started a series of ongoing special events throughout the summer for those interested in learning more about Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) or enjoying paddles with fellow enthusiasts.
“Wednesday Night Paddles” take place every Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. All are welcome to take part in the relaxed group excursions. Depending on conditions and tides, the paddles will take place at either Oyster River, Stage Harbor or Chatham Harbor/North Beach. The Wednesday Night Paddles are free if you bring your own board. For those who need to rent equipment, the rental fee is just $20.
Every other Monday, Adventure Chatham holds free stand-up paddle board demonstrations from 8 a.m. – Noon. Beginners can try out the equipment and take a mini lesson with an experienced Adventure Chatham instructor. The location of these demos will be either Oyster Pond, Hardings Beach, or Jack Knife Cove in Chatham. Attendees should call Adventure Chatham or check Facebook to confirm the location. Please keep in mind that events may be canceled or changed due to weather, high wind or tide conditions.
Adventure Chatham is a subsidiary of The Cape Cod Beach Chair Company and a one-stop outfitter for vacation recreation.
