Hartley Mason Park resides just outside York Beach but we just couldn’t resist including this gem of a seaside park in our series 45 Days at York Beach, Maine Leading to Memorial Day Weekend 2021.
Located right across from the famous York Harbor Inn, this four-acre Seaside Park affords commanding views of the Atlantic Ocean and York Harbor Beach. Meandering paths with benches along the way yield a storybook-type of setting that almost doesn’t seem real. But it is real and really beautiful!

Many weddings have taken place here, given it’s idyllic setting. If you are already married, though, or have no plans on doing so, you can enjoy your own grand union with this transcendent slice of Maine coastline. What’s more, Hartley Mason Park is located right next to the Cliff Walk — similar to Newport’s Cliff Walk — with its walking path high above the Atlantic Ocean.
All in all, Hartley Mason Park simply stands as one of the most memorable locations in New England that you just have to experience!
Hartley Mason Park is located at 481 York St., York, ME, and is wonderfully maintained by York Parks and Recreation.
