Educate yourself!

This statement can be increasingly found on Facebook posts in response to someone simply having a different opinion. It usually comes at the end of a person’s post and is often patronizing and insulting in nature.

Interestingly, the person saying this often does not present a valid point of the subject matter at hand. There is usually an absence of facts, theories, concepts and knowledge. It is based more on emotion that reality.

Putting others down never solves anything. The key to better dialogue on social media is through civility and respect for one another.

Can we ever see a day when this camaraderie fully takes place on social media?
