This isn’t going to be one of those articles about all the great things to do in Wolfeboro, N.H.
Sure, Wolfeboro possesses that rare mix of being a peaceful lake town without being too boring or over-touristy. You can do everything here or simply nothing.
Everyone has their own magic place here and for me, it’s the Town Docks area behind the town center. Here, you’ll find a small, cozy park-like area with a bandstand and beautiful views of Lake Winnipesaukee. It’s especially nice in the fall when the colorful leaves juxtapose with the scenic lake. When combined with a cool, crisp feel in the air, it’ almost feels like a rite of passage into quintessential New England.
I could post many different scenes from this famous lake town but just chose the one you see here. This is the view that repeatedly followed me back home in the internal memory bank, as well as being downloaded first out of my camera. One look and I’m sure you’ll understand why!
Magical places just seem to have that, well, magical effect.
