With three fairly large dogs, I live in a world of perpetual hair, drool and the accompanying sand and debris that 12 paws inevitably drag in. And while I’d love to send them off to the professional groomer on a regular basis, they’re not as enamored with spa treatments as I am. Plus there’s the whole budget issue…I just can’t afford it.

They offer four oversized, self-serve dog wash stations. The stations feature elevated tubs, hoses that are pre-set to an optimal 92 degrees, and nozzles that automatically dispense shampoo with the water. The nozzles can alternate between spraying shampoo and spraying clear water, making it easy to switch from washing to rinsing. Each station also has a high velocity dryer for fast drying, towels, brushes and light grooming equipment. And an apron to keep you dry (it proved no match for Peyton, but I didn’t care). The beauty is in the design. You do the “wash work”, but you leave the mess behind for the nice folks at Hot Diggity.

There are no appointments necessary, which is especially great if you’re coming off the beach with your pup and just need a quick rinse ($5 for a tub rinse).

At $21 for the wash and use of the dryer ($16 if you’re towel drying), it was super affordable, but even more than that, it was just plain fun! It was time away from the laptop and

the iPhone to just suds up my dog and hang out.  He clearly enjoyed it, too, relishing in the full body massage from mom. And naturally, I couldn’t leave without splurging on a few treats and toys for him (in addition to the dog wash, it’s also a super cool boutique). Woof!

Tip if you go:  Right now if you check in on Facebook or Yelp while you’re there, you get a free Blueberry Facial add-on.
