Cheap Airfare, Discounted Airline Tickets up to 70% Off

Published on August 2, 2012August 2, 2012 by Eric Hurwitz

Is there such a thing as cheap airfare these days? Many people I’ve talked with lately don’t seem to think so. The conversation about the expense of taking a plane has personally taken flight more than a few times recently. Knowing so many people that have to fly on planes for business or personal travel, […]

A Trip to Plymouth Long Beach in Plymouth, Mass.

Published on July 27, 2012September 5, 2012 by Eric Hurwitz

Plymouth Long Beach in Plymouth, Mass., is really a beautiful coastal spot, just a few miles south on Route 3A from the downtown. We recently visited after 6 p.m. on a weekend and there was no parking fee. The walk was peaceful — with fewer crowds — and the sunset spectacular. We also enjoyed the […]

After a 25-year break, I finally made it back to the Dairy Dome in Stoneham, Mass., for some ice cream on a hot summer day. I picked up right where I left off: enjoying the very good ice cream, friendly service, a community gathering place type of feeling, and the rather offbeat look of the […]

Weston, Vt., is famous as the home of the Vermont Country Store, but look around a little more and you’ll see one of Vermont’s most beautiful towns. The classic town common, the well maintained older homes and buildings, interesting little niche shops, the friendly folks, and an overall sense of peacefulness in the air make […]

Modern Diner in Pawtucket, R.I., Appeals to All Crowds

Published on July 15, 2012July 21, 2013 by Eric Hurwitz

At first, I though the name the “Modern Diner” was just a ridiculously inaccurate moniker for this Pawtucket, R.I. dining spot. The classic cable dining car seemed to have more to do with the remote past than recent times. How can you call something modern that dates back to the FDR days? The history is […]
