If your family loves hiking but not the uphill struggles, VermontVacation has an excellent piece entitled Easy Hikes for Kids.  These two miles or less hikes (walking one way) include Mt. Olga at Molly Stark State Park in Wilmington, Pleiad Lake in Ripton, Mt. Elmore at Elmore State Park in Elmore, Mt. Independence in Orwell, and Mt. Philo in Charlotte.

Reading this article makes us stress less about hiking and more open to visiting these Vermont destinations that we know are all located in amazingly scenic regions!
