Sunset at Sohier Park – York Beach, Maine

Share this New England story on

Sunset, Sohier Park in York Beach, Maine.
Sunset, Sohier Park.

As mentioned in our previous story on York Beach, Sohier Park is home to Nubble Lighthouse. Most eyes rightfully turn towards this beautiful lighthouse but look around and you’ll see other memorable coastal scenes as well. One such scenic treasure: the expanse of ocean at sunset with Long Sands Beach in the distance.

Seeing that sunset feels like being on top of the world with stark, dark rocks to navigate carefully by foot, the wide peaceful colored sky and overall views that look like something on the front cover of a travel magazine. The good thing is, though, that this is real life and the chance to go from reading to live, on-scene validates that first-hand experience will always rule when exploring New England and beyond.
