The Special Quality of Life in New England

The thrill of experiencing four seasons of New England living

by Eric H. (posted May 30, 2007)

New England means four seasons of a great quality of life, with each time of year brief but memorable. The summer brings the ocean and mountains, swimming, summer events on the town common, ice cream stands, lobster, clam chowder, listening to

Boston Red Sox baseball, and aimless but meaningful Sunday drives. When the summer becomes too hot and humid, fall comes to the rescue with its brilliant fall foliage colors, apple cider, rustling through the leaves and cooler evening walks. When the fall leaves exit, and the New England warm weather becomes less consistent, winter paints a wonderland of white snow perfectly complementing town commons, outdoor holiday lights and trees and majestic mountains. And when the snow becomes dirty and the cold weather has overextended its stay, spring comes to the rescue with laundry fresh air, blossoming plant life and a chance to come out of hibernation to reconnect with your neighbors.

The season changes keep us refreshed and give us lots to look forward to while still enjoying the moment. It may seem odd to suffer a little weather- wise to get to another season, but given all that New England offers, we would never have it any other way.
